MAZEL GREY FLAME RETARDED RUBBER (GFR 40)

A 2 pack pourable, elastomeric and flame retardant product which can be used in a diverse range of applications.

A typical example of an application of GFR 40 is as a flame retardant, flexible but robust gasket which can be reused. This was designed by Mazel for Yarrow Shipbuilders for use on Type 23 Frigates.

Portable plates are positioned throughout the ship to give access to plant and fixings. These may need to be removed during repair, refit or while at sea. Once the plate is bolted to the deck, a channel is left around the perimeter, which has to be sealed. The conventional method for sealing this channel was to apply a “mastic” compound which would need to be removed and reapplied. This would require extra stocks of mastic being carried whilst at sea.

GFR 40 seals may be removed in one piece and easily replaced while at sea and was manufactured in battleship grey to match the “Epigrip” deck paint. Approved by Nato (Nato Stock No: 3709505)

MAZEL EMERGENCY REPAIR KIT (PMB 665)

Supplied to the MOD to carry out emergency repairs, PMB 665 is frequently used by the Royal Navy for carrying out repairs while a ship is in service. These repairs are usually to fuel, water or heating pipes which require an immediate effective solution.

Mazel Emergency Repair Kit comes complete with 2 pack repair putty, cleaner, release agent, fluidiser, bandage, applicators and full instructions. It is packed in a strong metal container. Approved by the MOD (Nato Stock No: 0425/8030-99-5292983)
